I would have to say that hands down, my absolute favorite thing about the holiday season is homemade pie. Pie has to be the most versatile of the baked goods.   I mean, it makes a great dessert and a great breakfast on the go. And there is just something about a homemade pie that you can’t seem to get anywhere else.  I think it might be love, or butter, or both.

Another staple for many families is the Pecan Pie.  I never had one until I reached adulthood, but once I did I was hooked and did everything in my power to figure out how to make the perfect one.  This is the result, and I hope you will agree with my feelings on it.
